Description
As an expert in economic development, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Economic Agency (AER BFC) implements the economic strategy of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regio. Its mission is to promote regional economic development, with a focus on industry, industry support services and start-ups.
Its objectives are:
• To promote the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and its economic appeal
• To support the maintenance and development of economic activity and employment within the region
• To support and advance innovation
• To accelerate decarbonisation and the transition of economic activities
• To provide a regional economic engineering service, and to support economic development policy and its implementation across the region
The AER BFC offers services to businesses and local authorities / Public Establishments for Inter-municipal Cooperation (EPCI). At the heart of the ecosystem, it has in-depth knowledge of the economic fabric and the specific characteristics of the regions, and carries out its activities in collaboration with a network of 300 stakeholders in economic development and innovation: central government, EPCIs, chambers of commerce, local agencies, etc.
With a staff of 45, AER BFC has two sites – Besançon and Dijon – and a regional hub operating across the region (Côte-d’Or, Doubs, Haute-Saône, Jura, Nièvre, Saône-et-Loire, Territoire de Belfort and Yonne).
